Underdown Recreation Area

The 44,600-ace Underdown Recreation Area is open to horseback riders, mountain bikers and hikers in the summer and cross-country skiiers in the winter. The cross country ski area consists of 3, 7, and 11 mile loops of marked and groomed ski trails. These loops are individually marked with a separate color to make them easy to follow. There are directional maps at each major intersection. The trails pass through over 4,600 acres of Lincoln County Forest Land.

Council Grounds has many trails that are available to cross-country skiers. They also host candlelight ski/walks periodically through the year, where the campground roads are lit with candles and open to walkers and skiers.
