LaDonna Fermanich is Alderperson for the Fourth District. She was elected in April 2022. Prior to being Alderperson, LaDonna worked for the City of Merrrill Housing Authority for 10 years, and was Executive Director for three years. She is currently a bookkeeper for a business.
LaDonna was raised on a dairy farm located between Merrill and Antigo, WI. She grew in a large family with seven siblings, which helped fine-tune her skills in cooperating, negotiating, delegating, and building alliances at a young age. She moved to Merrill several years ago when working for Church Mutual Insurance Company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Math and Statistics from Concordia College.
Besides her passion for local government, LaDonna enjoys arts and crafts, including acrylic painting, card making, gardening and creative writing. As a cancer survivor, who was told she’d never live past six weeks of her diagnosis, LaDonna is living proof that the odds can be defied and anything is possible.
