Steve Hass is the Mayor for the City of Merrill. He was elected in April 2022. Prior to being Mayor, he served as Alderperson of the Second District from 2004 to 2014, and 2018 to 2022.
Steve is a lifelong resident of Merrill and a graduate from Merrill High School. He has been employed by Miller Home Furnishings since 1991.
Steve loves experiencing the simple, fulfilling lifestyle that Merrill has to offer. He and his family enjoys shopping at local businesses, and attending community events like the Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo and concerts in the park. When he’s not working or at City Hall, Steve is exploring ATV trails, playing with the family dog, and cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers.
