Hunting

Merrill Memorial Forest is a 920-acre wildlife habitat area. There are walking trails for those who want peace and solitude, and it's also a public hunting ground. The park includes an 80-acre wetland area, recently named the Don Manthei Recreational and Wetland Area.

The Lincoln County Forest consists of 101,000 acres open to the public for hunting. Wildlife available to hunt during the open season are deer, grouse, squirrel, rabbit, turkey and waterfowl.
