Elected Officials

Lori Anderson-Malm is City Clerk. She was elected in April 2022. Prior to being City Clerk, Lori owned an interior design business, and later worked in accounting for several years.

Lori grew up in Merrill. She lived in various cities throughout the mid-west, and later moved back to Merrill in 2010. Lori is a proud graduate Merrill High School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Rasmussen University. Lori loves to read, and looks forward to reading each night to calm her mind at the end of the day. She enjoys spending time with friends, family and her “furry kids.”

Ron Liberty is Street and Weed Commissioner. He was elected in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. Ron was Service Tech at Ferrallgas Propane Co. for several years, and also worked at a resort.

Ron grew up in Merrill. He moved to Watersmeet, MI for work, and moved back to Merrill after he retired. Ron was enlisted in U.S. Navy. In his spare time, Ron enjoys woodworking and traveling. He volunteers with the Merrill Lions Club and serves on the Merrill Area Public School Board of Education.
