Camping

Camp New Wood County Park has two covered shelters available by reservation. Electricity is not available. The park features an entrance to the Ice Age Trail, playground, water pump and primitive restrooms. Camp New Wood is located on the site of a Civilian Conservation Corps camp that was active in the 1930s. The park is approximately 16 acres with primitive camp sites. Campsites are first-come, first served.

Located along the beautiful Wisconsin River near the site of Native American encampments, Council Grounds State Park is a favorite for recreation enthusiasts. It has 55 modern and rustic sites available with modern restrooms and showers. Take advantage of the public boat landing or one of the many fishing docks. Enjoy swimming at the beach, playing at the playground, hiking on the many walking trails, and biking or rollerblading on the blacktop campground roads. A shelter is available for rental. Wisconsin State Park fees apply.

Otter Lake has 25 primitive campsites available. There is a beach, picnic area, boat landing, nature trails, water pump and pit toilets. Campsites are available on a first come, first-served basis.
